I had previously been going through a large financial institution to Get a mortgage loan. For 6 weeks they continued to push it through the application proces, they missed multiple dead lines, and forced me to delay closing for nearly a month....

The one improvement I would suggest is more communication on the terms of the rate lock. The late appraisal caused by the late inspection nearly pushed us past our lock period. In retrospect, it might have made sense to authorize the appraisal...
