There are several first-time home buyer programs available. Government lending, FHA, VA, USDA, and Oregon VA are my specialties. The lending world has changed today as a result of the more relaxed lending standards of the past. We have returned to the more conservative approach so for me it's just like returning to the early '90's and what I grew up on. It's not a bad thing because I now have more opportunity to be an educator and trusted adviser not a sales pitch.
