As a military wife I've moved to and from Valdosta, and other communities around the world on several occasions. Whether military or civilian, I fully understand the emotions that come with relocating across town or across the world. I know first-hand you're not only finding a new home, you're often uprooting a family, finding new schools and activities for children, making new friends, and many times starting a new career. Although the Air Force took my family around the world, we've always considered Valdosta our home. We've watched our quiet town develop into South Georgia's agricultural economic hub, but still retain all the southern charm and character that makes Valdosta such a great place to call home.
