It would’ve helped to set up a time to meet to discuss the steps in the process with myself and my spouse. It would also help to have a heads up about potential issues and what to expect. The biggest issue was failure to take responsibility...

I learned of NAF and their competitive interest rates for borrowers whose profile matched mine via Nerdwallet and reached out to them by using a link on the Nerdwallet website. Initially, I had a couple of pleasant, friendly interactions with...

We sincerely apologize that your loan experience with our company was anything less than satisfactory. Please contact our Customer Service ********************* as we would like to address your concerns.

Everyone we talked to did a great job of making sure I understood everything!
Got 1 phone call. Then never heard a thing after I was told she’d call me the same day.
Chris was great, however Kelly Davis was very unprofessional and rude which is why I rated my experience with Amerisave as just OK. If it wasn't for Chris I would have taken my loan to another bank, Kelly should not have direct contact with...

Nothing was easy with Modesta. Modesta would say one thing and change everything the next day. Modesta made the whole process difficult, unpleasant and nerve wrecking. I would never refer anyone to work with Modesta at Draper and Kramer.

For Reverse Mortgages: Charges such as an origination fee, mortgage insurance premiums, closing costs and/or servicing fees, if applicable, may be assessed and will be added to the loan balance. As long as you comply with the terms of the loan, you retain title until you sell or transfer the property and are responsible for paying property taxes, insurance, and maintenance. Failure to pay these amounts may cause the loan to become immediately due, subject the property to a tax lien, other encumbrance, or foreclosure. The loan balance grows over time and interest is added to that balance. Interest on a reverse mortgage is not deductible from income tax until repaid. Although the loan is non-recourse, at maturity the lender will have a claim against the property, and you or your heirs may need to sell the property or use other assets to repay the loan in order to retain the property.
