I was born in Lorain and raised in Vermilion. I lived in Columbus for 7 years after high school, but returned home to Cleveland, where I've lived in Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, Westpark, South Collinwood, and now Bay Village. I lived in Long Island for a year.I've had a varied work life, from my first paper route (the Lorain Journal) to working as a butcher's assistant, guitar technician, computer/boardroom installer, banker, economic development professional, and even mall Santa!I enjoy hiking, camping, bicycling, fishing, and woodworking. I read a lot and love all kinds of music, so long as its good.I'm married for 23 years and have two sons. We live in the second to last house we'll ever live in (there's a farm in our future).My interests in law outside of my work include civil rights, especially with regard to economic civil rights. Working people, especially those who start and run small businesses, make the world go 'round. Government should get out of their way and let them make the world a better place.
