We help our clients work toward their serious, long-term financial goals by first understanding their needs, then implementing tailored solutions.We want to be an important part of our clients' lives. Helping clients have successful financial lives is a big job, and we love doing it! "How can we best serve our clients and community!" is how I end every staff meeting. My educational background is unique in the industry: I received a B.S. in biology from Saint John's University in 1988, and an M.S.A. (Administration) from the Central Michigan University in 1999.Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2012, I was in the United States Army for 25 years. During that time, my family moved around the United States and Europe 14 times! I retired after achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. We moved to the Iron Range to serve its communities, raise our family and live in peace forever.What kind of clients are a best fit for my office? Typically, my clients have a good sense of humor and they've been serious savers their entire lives. My clients are looking to delegate most of their investment decisions and are either retired or within five years of retirement. On the personal side, I think volunteering and being part of our community is very important. I've been involved with and held leadership roles in the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Rotary, the Central Mesaba Medical Foundation, Mesaba Country Club and Angel Fund, and I'm a past-chairman of the Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce. My wife, Brenda, and I have two daughters and one grandson. My personal interests include traveling, training our Labrador Retriever, fishing, hunting, golfing, Vikings football and volunteering.
