My education includes a bachelor's in law and systems engineering from West Point, a master's in operations and strategic planning from the Air Command and Staff College, as well as a US Army War College Fellowship at Duke University where I studied national security and public policy.I am a commercially rated airplane and helicopter pilot with over 2,500 flight hours during a 25-year military career. A decorated combat veteran, I was hand-picked to serve as a "Nightstalker" in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment where I supported special operations forces around the world. I've held leadership positions of increasing responsibility that included aero scout platoon leader, two flight company commands, a general support aviation battalion command, and a garrison command.
