Raised in Champaign Illinois, Rick and Sue Wedig have been married for over 40 years with 2 adult sons, and 4 grandchildren. In August 2015 they decided to pursue their dream of moving south to Florida and passed their Illinois property management business to their children. They interviewed many places and found that the Berkshire Hathaway Florida Properties Office Group in Wesley Chapel had a property manager that was hoping to retire in 3-5 years, and they felt the office and location were a good fit. They settled in to learn the business, company policies and community. Within just over 2 years the original property manager announced retirement and Rick and Sue decided to purchase the business. Their motto, Exceeding Expectations, is what they live and work by. They concentrate on building relationships with the tenants and owners when they are just prospects. They are selective on accepting new homes to rent out and sit down and talk to the owners in the homes and personally review the management agreement with the owners before accepting a home into their inventory. The owners and tenants trust them and appreciate their expertise and over 25 years of experience as well as their ability to be reached. Common feedback they receive is how much their clients appreciate how quickly they return calls and emails. That is all part of how they strive to constantly be Exceeding Expectations! What makes them different? This is a common question. The answer is simple. In 1992 they started buying rental property themselves and accumulated over 30 single family homes. They were both working full time and hired a property management company to take care of the homes and tenants. It was not long before they realized that no one could take care of their business like they could. In 2000 Rick got his real estate license after a friend convinced him that his personal buying and selling experience, his history and background of construction remodeling and his gift of gab would make him an invaluable Realtor. As Rick's career kicked off, he specialized in working with investors. He talked to Sue, who was working as a Marketing Director, into joining him and managing properties for his investor clients. Their teamwork has made them a highly respected and sought-after team.
