My name is Sonny Equila-Liu, and I grew up on the leeward side of O'ahu. I am proud to have this opportunity to help those in my community reach their financial goals. My late mentor once told me that everyone is dealt with different cards in life and that the outcome of our life, like in a game of cards, are determined by how we play our hand. Prior to Edward Jones, I was a financial planner at a local bank where I developed and presented comprehensive financial plans to many local families. I am a proud graduate of James Campbell High School and Chaminade University of Honolulu, and I have my MBA and Bachelor of Science in accounting. I previously served on the board of the Filipino Jaycees of Honolulu. A little about me: My husband, Bricen, and I are fortunate to live in the beautiful and growing Ho'opili community in Ewa. We are dog parents to two furballs, our Katsu (Frenchie) and Momo (Frenchie-Pug). We enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and playing Mahjong (a tile-based game). We also enjoy going to local festivals and farmers markets to celebrate and support the community. Fun fact about me, I have a rare plant collection that is mainly comprised of different types of philodendrons and aroids.
