Founded in 1991 as Crawford-Smith Construction, Inc., the original focus of the company was residential insurance repairs and restoration in the Memphis market. Dale Sharp joined the firm in 1994 as manager of the newly opened Nashville office. In 1997, the company made a concerted effort to leave the residential market and perform only commercial projects. Sharp was made a partner in 1998 and the firm name changed to Crawford, Smith and Sharp, LLC to reflect his addition to the ownership. Over the next decade the business grew in size, capability and areas of coverage. In 2009, Sharp bought the business entirely and made Dave Robbins a partner forming Sharp & Robbins Construction, LLC. Robbins had been a project manager with the firm for (5) years in advance of this transition, and is a life-long veteran in the restoration industry. Chris Popwell was added to the ownership in 2015 and the name was again amended to its current version to reflect the addition.
