Sharleen moved around quite a bit growing up but was born in Chicago, IL where she spent her early childhood in a close knit, diverse community. It's thanks to all the neighbors and friends she made during this time that she's fluent in Bengali and Hindi and has such a passion for South Asian culture. She spent her teens in Richmond, VA and grew to love the rich history of the city and the growing diversity of the community. Sharleen has a passion for learning and growth and is currently completing her Bachelors in Business and Marketing through Mary Baldwin University. She previously studied Psychology while living in Harrisonburg, VA. Her commitment to candor, customer service, and hard-work has come from the many jobs she has worked in the service industry. In her free time Sharleen enjoys going to trivia nights at local bars and breweries. She also loves music and enjoys spending time at music and folk festivals. Otherwise you may find her sampling different cuisines at the many wonderful restaurants in Richmond.
