Serreen Meki is a Litigation Associate with Thomas Kennedy Sampson & Tompkins LLP. Her practice areas include personal injury and wrongful death, premises liability, and civil litigation.Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Serreen is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University where she received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she attended Georgia State University's College of Law. During her tenure there, Serreen served on the board of the Black Law Students Association, seeking to promote the professional needs and goals of minority law students. Also, while at Georgia State, Serreen was recognized for her exceptional work in Trial Advocacy.Passionate about litigation, Serreen prioritizes a comprehensive understanding of the legal system. As such, she took the opportunity to intern at both the Clayton County Public Defender's Office as well as the Capital Defender's Office where she advocated for defendants who were facing the death penalty. During her last year of law school, she served in the narcotics unit of the United States Attorney's Office. Upon passing the Georgia Bar Exam, she accepted a position in the DeKalb County Solicitor-General's Office prosecuting misdemeanors. Prior to joining our firm, Serreen served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office where she handled felony cases.Serreen is passionate about social justice and service and is a member of Gate City Bar Association, Greater Atlanta Black Prosecutors Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, inc.
