Being a financial advisor for 34 years, I consider myself an educator and have a passion for teaching people about the investing process. My goal is to help clients achieve their financial goals by understanding their needs and developing a long-term strategy. In our office, we have three branch office administrators. Joyce Hall, senior branch office administrator, has been in this office since 1996. Dawn Webster joined our team May of 2018 and Sam joined in 2022.In 1988, I received my securities license, the same year I received my BBA in finance from Central State University (University of Central Oklahoma). Prior to that, I attended the University of Missouri for Engineering from 1982-1986.From 1989-1994, I worked for Charles Schwab in Oklahoma City, San Francisco and New York City. I took a position with Wells Fargo Securities in San Francisco from 1995-2000. In 2000, I moved my family to Poteau when my Dad was diagnosed with cancer working in this office. Marcia Webster opened this office in 1983.I have been an active member in the Poteau Rotary Club since 2000, serving as president in 2004 and 2012. My office has been a member of the Poteau Chamber of Commerce since 1983, sponsoring many community events.I met my wife in 1991 while working in San Francisco. We married in 1995 and have three children. All three of our children graduated from Poteau High School. Our oldest son works for Childers Architects in Fort Smith. Our daughter graduated with a BBA in finance from UAFS and works for Landmark Financial in Fort Smith. Our youngest son is finishing his senior year at UAFS pursuing a degree in information technology.My hobbies are running our 40-acre ranch with seven horses, camping, watersports and traveling. We spend our summer weekends at the lake with our family and friends.I have enjoyed my 23 years with Edward Jones because of our personal approach to investing and I love working and living in the community. I look forward to many more years with Edward Jones and the rest of my life in Poteau.
