With a Master's in Accounting and experience as a Texas-licensed CPA, I spent the first eight years of my career consulting individuals and small businesses at BDO, Maxwell Locke & Ritter, and Catalyst Family Office. I specialized in analyzing business structures, complex financial statements, and tax strategies for clients with partnerships and diverse income streams. That work taught me something important: people need more than a mortgage lender. They need someone who can interpret their financial picture, anticipate challenges, and build a personalized plan that actually makes sense for their goals. That's what led me into mortgage banking. Problem-solving is my happy place, and I love building long-term relationships that don't end at the closing table. My background as a CPA gives me a unique advantage when working with entrepreneurs, self-employed borrowers, investors, and anyone whose financial life isn't "one-size-fits-all." Understanding atypical income, pass-through entities, K-1s, and layered revenue streams allows me to guide clients through the lending process with clarity and confidence. Born and raised in Austin, I know this market inside and out. Since 2016, I've also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Blue Lapis Light, a nonprofit aerial dance company. Outside of work, you'll find me chasing after my two boys, Myles and Hank. Our weekends are spent outside taking walks, hitting local parks, and cheering our favorite teams.
