Sam has tried nearly one hundred jury and judge trials in each civil and criminal cases in Hawaii State and Hawaii Federal District Court, to mention nothing of the many motions he has filed and hearings within which he has appeared. He has ready incalculable appellant briefs and argued appeals before the Hawaii Court of Appeals, the Hawai'i Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Sam's passion for justice and honest play is unquestioned. His part-Hawaiian ancestry has enlightened his character. He's living pono, travail balance in his life and work to invariably do the right thing to assist folks and therefore his community.
