He has represented clients in complex civil litigation involving trade secrets, trademark infringement, class actions, antitrust, and breach of contract claims in federal and state courts.Prior to joining Reed Smith Samuel was a federal Immigration Judge in San Francisco, California, where he presided over hundreds of hearings and drafted numerous legal opinions.As an Assistant Chief Counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Samuel prosecuted thousands of cases involving applications for asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status.
