Samara Harris is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office and a member of the firm's West Coast Real Estate Practice Group. Ms. Harris focuses her practice on land banking and the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate. Ms. Harris represents private equity funds in intricate land bank transactions across the United States. In doing so, she has facilitated the acquisition of properties to be developed into thousands of single-family residences. Ms. Harris' recent representative experience includes: represented a private equity fund in the land banking of multiple properties across the United States (including California, Texas, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, Georgia, Maryland, Florida and New York) to be developed into single-family residences by a top public homebuilder represented an asset management company in the land banking of property in California to be developed into multifamily townhomes and single-family homes by a top public homebuilder represented the buyer in the $73 million acquisition of a 344-unit apartment complex in DuPage County, Illinois represented the buyer in the $95 million acquisition of a 732-unit apartment complex in Crest Hill, Illinois Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Harris was a legal diversity scholar in the firm's Los Angeles office during her first year of law school and returned as a summer associate in the firm's Los Angeles office the following year.
