I was born on a small island in the Azores. My parents immigrated to the U.S. when I was about 2 years old. My dad was an insurance salesman a strong work ethic and treated all his clients like family. My mother was a stay-at-home mom who took pride in her clean home and ensuring we were well fed. We lived in a 6-unit multifamily in Hartford until 1976 when my parents fulfilled the American dream of home ownership and purchased our home on 3 Play Rd in Enfield. I remember the sheer joy that we all experienced when we saw the "sold" sign in front of the house. It was at that very moment that I learned we were going to have our very own home with a backyard! I knew I wanted to become a Realtor (even though I didn't know what it was called at that time) and bring the same joy to others! I love all aspects of my job. Being able to guide first time homebuyers through the process, as well as folks downsizing, upsizing. I get to sit across from them at the closing table, watch and enjoy the happiness I know they are experiencing in that moment. in the joy they are experiencing. Sadly, in 2021 I lost my husband, the love of my life. It was a sudden and quick battle with cancer. It took some time to recover from this loss and move forward. Important lessons learned that life sometimes is not as long as you think it will or should be. Don't put off the things your heart desires and always take time for self-care. I enjoy bicycle riding the rail trails, kayaking, hiking and yoga. Being out in nature is peaceful and gives you time to unwind from the demands of the world.
