I bought my first stock in the eighth grade, which led to a strong interest in investing and, later, a degree in finance. Along the way, an Edward Jones financial advisor took the time to educate me about investments, but he also shared what it’s like to do a job like his. Later, he offered me an internship so I could learn even more, and in 2000, I joined the firm. For most of my clients, their No. 1 goal is retirement. My branch office administrators, Michelle Ralston and Ashton Case, enjoy working closely with clients as we determine their desired lifestyles and when they would like to retire. Our goal is to help clients achieve a regular income in retirement that also allows them to leave a legacy for their children and grandchildren. Our process involves meeting with clients initially to understand what’s most important to them. Then, I build a personalized strategy to help them reach that goal. We also partner with them throughout their lives to help keep them on track. Our branch is in Lexington, Missouri, and we serve more than 600 families in 19 states. I have been married to my wife, Dana, for 25 years. We have two daughters: Eva, 18, and Addison, 15. We enjoy traveling and being involved in all the kids’ activities. I am a member and past president of the Lexington Rotary Club.
