Richard MacDonald is a dedicated real estate professional with over 42 years in the industry here on Hilton Head Island. He maintains memberships in the National Association of Realtor's as well as locally with the Hilton Head Island Area Association of Realtor's and the Hilton Head Island Multiple Listing Service. Richard grew up in Dillon, South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Shortly after graduation he moved to Hilton Head Island and began his real estate career in 1980. In 1985 he married Janet Sanders MacDonald from Beaufort South Carolina. They raised three sons on Hilton Head Island. The eldest son Sanders and his wife Sami live in Bluffton, South Carolina with their 2 children. Their middle son, Corey graduated from Clemson University and lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Candice. The youngest son Taylor graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design and currently lives on Hilton Head Island. Richard and his family are members of the Hilton Head Presbyterian Church where he serves as an Elder and Janet serves on the Women's Ministries Team.
