After graduating from St. Cloud State University, he returned to Paynesville where he worked as an agent for Cliff's Insurance and Realty before founding Patrick Flanders Realty, the longest established real estate brokerage in the area. Pat has spent years in service to his community, township, and county that have provided him insight, contacts, and valuable strategies should aspects of a sale prove problematic. At the county level, Pat was a contributor to the Stearns County Comprehensive Plan. He has chaired the Paynesville Township Rezoning Ordinance Committee and spent more than a dozen years on the Economic Development Authority of Paynesville. For the Paynesville school district he spent 15 years as a board member and chair. He is the current chairman of the Paynesville Industrial Park Redevelopment Board and is a member of the Paynesville Downtown Redevelopment Group.
