Melissa's experience includes defending class action lawsuits, advising on regulatory matters and compliance issues, conducting internal investigations, and representing clients in a variety of proceedings in state and local courts.Melissa defends national and regional law firms in professional liability matters arising out of corporate transactions, franchising, securities, trusts and estate planning, and litigation, among other practice areas. Melissa also has experience assisting major insurance companies, financial industry participants, and educational institutions in class action lawsuits, and advising clients in internal investigations and those brought by state and federal regulators.As a member of Eversheds Sutherland's Cannabis Industry team, Melissa counsels a variety of clients on the rapidly changing patchwork of state and federal laws affecting this industry.
