Loriellen Robertson, a native of Miami, Florida, has alongstanding connection to the Florida Keys, having vacationed there throughouther life before relocating to the lower Keys in 2005. She earned her Bachelorof Science degree from the College of Journalism and Communications at theUniversity of Florida in 2001 and pursued her legal education at the Universityof Miami School of Law. During law school, she focused on litigation, clerkedfor a criminal county court judge in Miami-Dade County, studied abroad inSpain, and interned with the Broward County Public Defender's Office.After law school, Loriellen moved to Key West and began herlegal career as an Assistant State Attorney, handling juvenile and misdemeanorcases for the Monroe County State Attorney's Office. In 2007, she transitionedto the Office of the Public Defender as a felony attorney. Since 2011, she hasbeen in private practice, focusing on criminal defense and family law. In 2012,she co-founded The Law Office of Robertson & Hunter. Loriellen representsMonroe County as a chapter representative for the Florida Association ofCriminal Defense Lawyers and actively participates in its board meetings andconferences.
