He has been doing this long enough that he considers himself very knowledgeable. As a result, he uses that knowledge to educate and help people. When he is talking to people on the phone, his experience is what helps him quickly identify what they are looking to accomplish as well as determine what programs will best suit those needs. When not working, he devotes time to his wife and three daughters.
