MICHELLE CHIU focuses her practice on investment fund formation transactions, including private equity funds, venture and growth capital funds, real estate and infrastructure funds, credit and special situations funds and hedge funds. Michelle also advises on M&A transactions, private equity matters, venture capital investments, take-private transactions, and a broad range of transactions relating to the restructuring of investment vehicles, joint ventures, GP minority investments, downstream acquisitions and disposals and other transactional and governance matters arising from the entire investment fund and portfolio company life cycle. Prior to joining Sidley, Michelle was an associate at a New York-headquartered international law firm in Hong Kong. Michelle is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
