Michael Davidson is an attorney in Lexington, Kentucky where his primary area of Practice is Family Law. He has spoken and written articles for the Fayette County Family Law Section, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the American Bar Association Family Law Section. Michael has produced CLE programs on the State and National Level for family law practitioners and he has participated in the presentation of such CLE programs locally and nationally. Mr. Davidson received his B.S. in Psychology and J.D. degrees from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the Lexington Fayette County Bar Association (member and past Chair of the Family Law Section), Kentucky Bar Association (member and past Chair of the Family Law Section for two separate terms), and American Bar Association (member, the Custody and Domestic Violence committees of the Family law Section and current Chair of the Domestic Violence Committee). Mr. Davidson is admitted to practice in all Courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Prior to beginning his post-secondary education at the University of Kentucky, Mr. Davidson served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service aboard the U.S.S. Lewis and Clark SSBN 644 (G) during the Vietnam era. Mr. Davidson has also been a past editor of the Chapter for Collections in Domestic Relations Cases for the University of Kentucky College of Law Publication. Mr. Davidson is also the current Chair of the Planning Committee for the University of Kentucky College of Law Family Law Institute. Mr. Davidson has also been a guest lecturer for the University of Kentucky College of law 3rd year students in the Alternative Dispute Resolution classes. Mr. Davidson has also been a past instructor for Family Law curriculum to paralegals at Georgetown College. Mr. Davidson has also been a frequent lecturer to other attorneys practicing family law. He has lectured frequently to the KBA at the Kentucky Bar Association's annual meetings as well as on the KY Law Updates circuit from Pikeville to Paducah. Mr. Davidson also regularly participates in CLE program production and lecturing across the country to members of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association as well as members of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in Louisville. Mr. Davidson practice is exclusively focused on all areas of Family law, including divorce, custody, timesharing, child support, property and debt division, and domestic violence. Mr. Davison has several published cases from the Kentucky Court of Appeals where his client's rights have been protected through the litigation process. Mr. Davidson is also trained Collaborative Family Law attorney and has participated in numerous successful mediations of complex divorce cases.
