Hello. I'm Michael Kohler, 67 years young. Ihave 2 daughters. The youngest is 22 and recently started a new life adventure in Manassas, VA. Her sister is 27 years old, went to Michigan State and Denver University (Denver, CO) where she earned her masters degree in Psychology. Ok, enough bragging. I have a broad range of experience that I can put to use for your benefit. Growing up with 7 siblings, we were all involved in the family businesses. Robert and Norma Kohler were entrepreneurs. Kohler Oil Company had 13 gas stations, car washes (later transitioning into propane only), 1400 acres farmable land, gravel pits, and industrial parks/factories in Brown City, Oxford, and Marlette, etc. Dad instilled a work ethic in all of us. We all helped build the company, not always by choice. Call it work ethic development or what we often called child abuse (justkidding, butifyoumissedcurfew...). Of course we were the labor behind each development. We were involved in every aspect of running the businesses and then running our own. Property and business ACQUISITIONs, planning and implementation involved, building\development, zoning, permitting, book work, labor, and more book work. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to obtain a BBA in Management from Northwood University (1974-1978), which has all helped me prepare to become a Realtor. Along with 23 years doing ownership title checks, acquiring oil gas/mining/wind lease agreements, and managing Kohler NRG Convenience Store (13 years) and then Kohler NRG Propane (8 years). A handshake and notes written on a napkin no longer seal a deal as they did when I was younger and you were only as good as your word. I've learned that, though not easily.
