Michael Jones

Michael V. Jones is dedicated to the greater Northeast Kingdom Region. Originally from Monroe, NH, Michael graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 2001 and attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island where he graduated with an Associates in Food Science. Realizing a higher calling, Michael enlisted into the U.S. Army as an Airborne Infantryman. After attending Basic Training in 2003, Michael went on to spend 26 months over the following 5 years in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was stationed at both Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Richardson, Alaska. During his time in Iraq, Michael was awarded a Bronze Star, as well as other awards. In 2008, upon returning to Fort Richardson from Iraq, Michael volunteered for U.S. Army Recruiting duty and he was assigned to the U.S. Army Career Center in Burlington, VT. Excelling at Recruiting, Michael was converted from Airborne Infantry to Recruiter in 2012. Over the next 11 years Michael went on to lead 3 Army Career Centers in Louisville, KY, Brooklyn, NY, and Littleton, NH. Finally back home, Michael began to focus on family and community. Voted onto the Monroe Consolidated School board in 2020, Michael is now the Vice Chair and started his second term in 2023. Michael spends a lot of his free time with his two daughters who are very active in school and extracurricular sports and gymnastics. Michael also operates his own short term rental property and hopes to expand his investment portfolio. With a passion for helping others achieve their goals and dreams, Michael has now started a new professional career as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Lifestyles in Littleton, NH. With intimate knowledge of the local area, economy, schools, employment and land opportunities, Michael looks forward to building a strong reputation in the area. Current goals are to explore area lakes with his daughters and to finish his MBA in Project Management.
