Matthew is an associate at Levy Konigsberg's New York office, where he litigates a broad range of claims involving victims of sexual and physical abuse, with a strong emphasis on representing individuals who were abused as children. Matthew's practice is concentrated on litigating claims under the newly passed Child Victims Act in New York State, specifically, claims against schools, group homes, foster care agencies, churches, as well as various other institutions.Prior to joining LK, Matthew worked briefly as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Philip M. Halpern, District Judge for the Southern District of New York. Prior to clerking, Matthew gained civil litigation experience focusing on premises liability, general negligence, property and casualty claims.Matthew received his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2018 where he finished in the top 5 of his class and graduated summa cum laude. In law school, Matthew worked as a research assistant for a prominent law professor, working on several publications as a co-author. He received his B.S. and B.B.A. in Business, Management and Finance from Brooklyn College in 2015.Matthew has spent his entire life in New York, having been born and raised in Brooklyn, attending Brooklyn College for his undergraduate degree, as well as Pace Law School in White Plains for his juris doctorate. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys running and playing sports, such as basketball and bowling.
