MATTHEW MAHONEY's practice focuses on litigating patent infringement disputes across all jurisdictions and venues. Matthew is experienced in all phases of pre-litigation diligence and litigation, including case assessment, e-discovery, fact and expert discovery, and trial work. Matthew's background in mechanical engineering and business enables him to handle cases spanning a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, semiconductors, computer hardware and software, pharmaceuticals, and audio technology. Matthew has worked on U.S. International Trade Commission investigations, litigation in U.S. District Courts, and post-grant proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He serves as the Washington, D.C. associate co-leader of the firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. While in law school, Matthew was a member of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team, Columbia's Science and Technology Law Review , and was an executive board member for the Black Law Students Association all three years. Prior to law school, Matthew was a Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Law (SEO Law) Fellow, the National Society of Black Engineers, and a member of the Collegiate 100 society at the University of Virginia. Matthew received his law degree from Columbia Law School and his B.S. from the University of Virginia. Prior to law school, Matthew participated in Norfolk Naval Shipyard's PATHWAYS Internship Program in the systems engineering and nuclear engineering departments.
