After graduating from NC State, I worked for a Raleigh non-profit organization, assisting people with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment. I am a member of Ambassador Presbyterian Church in Apex. My incredible wife, Karen, is a former math teacher at Green Hope High School. We now have four kids Ayla Kay, Derek Earl, Leah Ruby, Nate Matthew and they make life very interesting. We also have Podo, an awesome water dog.
