Matthew D. Gramly is a senior associate at The Dolan Law Firm. His practice primarily encompasses representing people who have been injured at the hands of others, including auto collisions, wrongful death cases, cases involving public entities, bicycle-related injuries, and motorcycle collisions. An avid motorcyclist since learning to ride dirtbikes on his grandparents' farm at the age of 8, Mr. Gramly spends a significant amount of time representing motorcyclists and bicyclists who have fallen victim to negligent drivers or dangerous and unsafe conditions of public roadways. All of us at The Dolan Law Firm do everything we can, every day, to improve safety conditions throughout our community whether it be for motorcyclists, pedestrians, bicyclists, etc. Mr. Gramly received a BA in philosophy from The Ohio State University in 1995 and, upon realizing that none of the various local bands he played drums for at the time had yet become internationally famous, he decided to go to law school. Mr. Gramly graduated from Capital University School of Law, Columbus, Ohio in 1999 and was admitted to the bar that same year in Ohio. During his first few years of practice Mr. Gramly focused on civil litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Gramly received his first "not guilty" verdict from a jury on behalf of a client after being licensed to practice for just 4 months. Practicing in rural Ohio, Mr. Gramly was able to build a diverse practice and gain extensive amounts of courtroom experience very early in his career, and has completed multiple civil jury trials, criminal jury trials, bench trials, mediations and arbitrations in the years since. After relocating to San Francisco, Mr. Gramly was admitted to the California bar in January, 2004. For several years in San Francisco Mr. Gramly practiced in the area of family law and was fortunate enough to be involved in cases where he helped divide tens of millions of dollars between rock stars, movie stars and their spouses, as well as hundreds of millions of dollars between venture capital entrepreneurs and their spouses, in highly complex, and very challenging, financially-driven litigation. Returning to civil litigation with The Dolan Law Firm, Mr. Gramly still rides motorcycles and still plays drums in local bands, two of his passions.
