I am a lifetime resident of the City of Portage and very proud of this amazing community. Portage's top-rated schools and the awesome companies who have found their place here bring many to call this city home. From beautiful parks to pristine lakes, walking trails and bike trails all beckoning you to enjoy the peace and tranquility they provide. Of course, there are a plethora of retail opportunities to appreciate and incredible restaurants to relish. I come from a family of Portage lovers! A family that has invested in this community through serving on school boards to political involvement. The many years of running a small business with a heart for service and giving back has set the tone for a continued focus on sales with service in the real estate arena. My passion is people: Meeting people, serving people, anticipating and responding to people's needs. The skills I have learned and developed over my years of varied employment are an asset to accomplishing the goals for my clients and customers. I've spent twenty-five years in retail business ownership acquiring management, financing, scheduling, merchandising, and negotiating skills. Another five years in home health care growing areas of patience, compassion, and incredible listening skills. My most recent work in direct sales has developed the skills of creative marketing, persistent follow-up, leadership, training and personal growth. I take each of these strengths into serving my customers as they purchase their first-time home, sell their longtime home, transition to a new style home in a condominium or senior living opportunity. I have been happily married for 40 years. I am the mother of two highly successful daughters and mother in law to two great sons! I am also a grandmother to 5 adorable grandchildren. I serve on the leadership and vision team at church. I volunteer at school in a mentorship program and in many organizations focused on caring for the needy in our community. I'm an avid walker and I walk with friends on the Portage trail system, on the beach in South Haven or Sebastian Inlet in Florida, whenever I can, wherever I am. I have recently joined a fabulous gym, Mindset PT focused on gaining strength, balance and endurance along with positive mind set! I garden, walk, read and jump on my grandson's trampoline! As a family we love walking on the beach at South Haven, cruising the Caribbean, annual trips to Disney and ice cream, lots of ice cream! I hear eating ice cream year-round is a Michigan thing. For the last two years I have taken up tournament fishing on the local lakes as my husband's fishing partner and taking in many trails on our recently purchased e-bikes. It is a joy to assist first time home buyers in their journey toward home ownership, I am a teacher at heart and love walking my clients through the logistic process toward understanding the many documents that comprise a real estate transaction. I especially enjoy my aging clients and their special circumstances as they move through transitional living scenarios. I have background in working in physical therapy and have knowledge of what seniors most need in their home environments for safety and independence. My long-time residency in the area equips me to serve relocation clients moving to West Michigan, sharing all that the area has to offer. Sharing information on Schools, places of worship, golf courses, lakes, parks as well as the amazing history of the area. I am faithful and trustworthy and you can have confidence in me with this your most important investment.
