Mark grew up in the mountains of western North Carolina and graduated from South Caldwell High School. He went on to study zoology and psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following graduation from UNC, he performed technical work in a laboratory there before pursuing various sales and sales management positions in the biotechnology instrumentation and consumables fields. Mark has been a licensed real estate broker since 1993 and his personal interests include real estate investing, fishing, and gardening. He has brokered and managed thousands of real estate transactions.
