There isn't much about the real estate industry Mark Evans hasn't experienced in his broad-reaching career. A rare Sarasota native, born and raised, he left the area after graduating with honors from Riverview High School for Florida State University to earn a degree, with honors, in accounting. Mark then moved out West to pursue a law degree from the University of Colorado, which he graduated from in 1985. For many years, throughout Washington State and Montana, Mark practiced real estate and banking law. This piqued his interest in real estate investment which led to Mark working in commercial, multifamily, investment, and residential real estate, in various capacities, for more than 40 years. Retired from practicing law and living full-time in his hometown, Mark is now a full-time licensed agent. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise, local knowledge, and wisdom to every real estate transaction he handles. Keeping his new business close to his downtown home, Mark's keen understanding and appreciation for Sarasota's culture and lifestyle allows sellers and buyers to directly benefit from his personal knowledge and vast skills as a resident. When the need arises, Mark ventures throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties, helping customers reach their goals by utilizing his lifetime of connections, growing up on Sarasota Bay in the Indian Beach neighborhood near the Ringling Museum, and on the beach and Gulf in the Sanderling Club on Siesta Key. Reconnecting with what he has always loved about Sarasota and the Gulf Coast, Mark enjoys being outdoors and exploring the city life. When not selling real estate, Mark can be found enjoying local beaches, boating, sailing, fishing, kayaking, cycling, or exploring the area. Mark is a member and supporter of the Sarasota Sailing Squadron, the Sarasota Opera Guild, Friends of the Legacy Trail, and the Humane Society of Sarasota County. Mark specializes in the downtown Sarasota area and Islands, and works with sellers, buyers, and investors interested in beach, waterfront, vacation, second home, and luxury properties.
