With an Honors education in Accounting, Business Administration, and International Business from DePaul University and a past career path of a CPA, it's a good thing Maria also obtained a Certificate for Improvisation from Second City, thus putting to good use both sides of her brain. Being left and right brained is a killer combination, which made Maria's leap, 5 years ago, from accounting into real estate rather seamless. She began this career as a broker at Baird & Warner in Evanston. After two years, she obtained her Managing Broker's license and started her own brokerage, Idealty in Logan Square, which she managed for two years. After a ground breaking year (2015), which concluded with a 4 day, 170 mile solo bike trip across Portugal, she returned like Batman to Baird & Warner in Lincoln Park realizing that she could better meet her clients' needs if she took off all her hats and put a helmet on instead. Maria's personable spirit is combined with a distinct professionalism that comes with being a cultured human and also partially derives from her past life as a tax consultant.
