Marco Scola - Marco was an independent sales associate with IBR under the previous owner. Scola along with Haedelt, also an independent sales associate with IBR, decided to purchase the brokerage in an effort to offer all the services to its agents that were not available under the previous owner. Scola and Haedelt quite simply, wanted to make IBR a better place and one of the premier real estate brokerages in southwest Florida. Marco Scola was a part time resident on Marco Island since 1998. In 2002, his wife Rosa and him decided to move to Marco Island permanently. Honestly, it was the best decision they have ever made. He also volunteers for Angel Flight by donating his time and aircraft flying hospital patients to urgent operations around the state that they otherwise couldn't afford to do. Company - IBR Takes on New Ownership and Expands. Hans Haedelt and Marco Scola were both agents working for Independent Brokers Realty on Marco Island for several years and then received the opportunity to purchase the company. On December 1, 2005, Scola Haedelt took over ownership of Independent Brokers Realty with the intention to expand the business to other locations throughout Florida and make it a better place to work. Scola and Haedelt simply made IBR a better place to work which made it a more viable business for its clients. In 2009, IBR hired its 200th agent and we are continuing to grow
