That motto has earned Lyle Harlow the reputation among his clients and colleagues for being able to negotiate extraordinary deals for both sellers and buyers alike. It has enabled him to build a loyal enthusiastic client base over the past 14 years. A graduate of the College of William & Mary in Virginia and the University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Business, he came to Chicago in 1998 to work for Ford Motor Company in marketing, sales and franchising. Lyle began his career in real estate at Koenig & Strey in 2003 and came to North Clybourn Group in August of 2017. As an MBA-educated, seven-year veteran of the corporate world and a corporate mobility specialist, Lyle's areas of expertise include helping corporate clients relocating to Chicago, guiding first-time buyers through their first purchase, assisting families who want to raise their children in the city to find the perfect home in the elementary school drawing area of their choice, and everything in-between. His extensive neighborhood knowledge extends all the way across the city and near suburbs; north to Evanston, west to Oak Park and south past Hyde Park. "The only way to do a top-notch job for my clients, particularly those who are buying their first home in Chicago, is to know the city neighborhood by neighborhood, inside and out," he comments. A transplant from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia who has lived in Williamsburg, Virginia; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Ferndale, Michigan; and Toronto, Ontario, Lyle is a long-time resident of the Wicker Park neighborhood. He can often be found gardening, cooking and entertaining at his 1860's cottage in Wicker Park's historic district. In addition to his enthusiasm for real estate, he is a professional musician who plays the pipe organ and piano. His interests include mountain biking, golf, tennis and volleyball. Lyle is committed to involvement in the community and serves on the board for the Blind Service Association of Chicago, is a volunteer cooking instructor for Chicago's Anixter Center, and is on the Local School Council for LaSalle II Magnet School in the East Village. He serves on the Professional Standards Committee of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) and is the 2017-2018 Chair of CAR's Forms & Contracts Committee, as well as being a trained mediator and ombudsman for CAR.
