My father provided outstanding service as an agency owner in Logan, beginning in 1969, and I'm proud to carry on that legacy. Since I became an agent in 2001 our agency has expanded to include Danville, Charleston and Dunbar, West Virginia, covering a large area of the southern part of the state. We may be larger in size, but my father taught me the importance of establishing relationships with customers, and I strive to carry on that tradition.Giving back to the communities is important to me. My agency supports our local high schools, middle schools, various youth leagues and other charitable organizations. I volunteer at Boone Memorial Hospital, a nonprofit critical care access hospital, and serve on the board of Driven Knights Inc., a nonprofit organization that promotes physical activity for the youth of Southern West Virginia.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Virgil, my son, Patrick, my daughter, Katie, and our six (yes, you read that right) dogs. Fun fact: Patrick is a full-time college student, but also works out of my Charleston office, so if you stop in make sure you say hello. We're an active family. We love traveling and, in the summer, you'll often find us on the water somewhere enjoying the weather. We're also a big sports family and love attending Marshall University (my alma mater) sporting events or WVU football games to cheer on our college teams. On Sundays you will find us rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Starting in August and lasting through November, my evenings are spent coaching the Scott High School girls volleyball team.When customers come to my agency, I want them to feel welcome.
