Twenty years is a long time. That's how long I have been doing this, real estate that is. I started at 18 years old as a way to pay for college. Naively I saw that REALTORS drove nice cars and deduced that it must be a good profession at least to get me through school. So, with my high school graduation money and a few hundred dollars borrowed from my father. I studied real estate in the summer before I started college. I landed my first job, with a developer, the day before my first classes started. Now, 10 years after graduate school, here I am still at it, selling real estate. I now realize that in my educational pursuits to find a career I had already done so. I love property and people. Raw land, abandoned buildings, conversions. Growing families, empty nesters, divorcees and estates. I love every stage of life's transitions and almost always those steps in life involve a change of address. I see the potential in everything, the vision of the homes prior glory or the potential of what it could be. I envision the new "life" the home will see with its new owners or a parcel of lands highest and best use. Some call me nostalgic; I look at real estate as a rebirth. A rebirth for the property, the Seller and the Buyer. I have successfully owned and managed real estate brokerages, started and sold an industry changing franchise, managed a massive sales staff for a Top Ten publicly traded homebuilder and have represented international property developers in their luxury eco-development pursuits. The National Association of REALTORS named me a "Top 30 under 30" REALTOR nationally. However, at the end of the day, this business has to do with people and their property.
