LIA HIGGINS is an associate in the Litigation group in the firm's New York office. Lia received her law degree from New York University School of Law where she was a research assistant for Professor Erin Murphy and staff editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law . Lia also completed a summer internship at the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York (Criminal Division). Prior to joining Sidley, Lia was a litigation paralegal at another global law firm. She graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society.
