One of my entrepreneurial role models is my grandfather. He founded Naperville Trucks Sales in 1940 and still runs the business today. It is from him that I learned the artful knack of negotiating and the skillset necessary for business ownership. When it came time for me to choose a career path, I chose to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship at Illinois State University, reaffirming the innate entrepreneurial gene. I was able to directly apply my education to my experience as Store Manager at Eyes of Chicago Optical, a business my sister founded in Naperville in 2007. Together we built an outstanding rapport through our attention to detail and exceptional customer service. As a result, we have become one of the leading opticals in the Midwest. We grew and developed excellent problem-solving skills, executed successful marketing techniques, proudly boasted and maintained our integrity, and developed one of the highest customer retention percentages in the optical industry. Because of my knowledge of the area, entrepreneurial spirit, and sales experience I was able to commit to the process of buying a home of my own and now it is my reality.
