MY STORYA go-getter by nature, I left my hometown of Green Bay, WI, in my early 20s to pursue a career in the big city of Chicago. During my time in the city, I experienced wonderful professional growth, earning leadership opportunities that allowed me to be in a position to save for my future. I knew little about investing at the time and scheduled an appointment with a financial advisor. On the day of the appointment, I cancelled it. Why? While I enjoyed career success and a growing salary, I was embarrassed by my lack of investment knowledge, little savings and student loan debt. What I understand now is that many people, especially women, experience the shame and embarrassment I felt. This is through no fault of their own. We live in a world where basic financial education may have not been taught at home or in school and conversations about money in our society are often considered taboo. This motivates my work and is why my mission is to help clients with a positive and engaging financial experience that is grounded in empathy and compassion. WHO DO I SERVEMost of my clients are mid-to-late professionals located in the Greater Milwaukee area and around the U.S. They lead full lives, aim to be or are diligent savers and desire to proactively plan for their future. They seek an ongoing relationship with an advisor who will provide care and education necessary to guide smart decision making, no matter what life brings. WHY WOMENI have found our industry has not been designed to engage or encourage women to be a part of the process and I seek to change this pattern. Women historically have earned less than their male counterparts, take more time out of their careers for family caregiving and statistically live longer than men. These factors are impactful and must be recognized, discussed and planned for. My style and passion for client care is what make me unique. ABOUT MEMy husband, Jason, and I live in Milwaukee, WI. I am a stepmom to two incredible teens who are quickly approaching their college years. I love to stay active, cook and travel, and I am a novice gardener.
