Larry Phelps was born in Midvale, Utah. He moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 1997 and has truly seen the valley grow into a major metropolitan area. Growing up he watched and learned from his father who was eager to build his own real estate portfolio. Larry's dad built five duplexes, five homes and a five unit apartment acting as his own general contractor. Larry participated in many of the aspects of construction and maintenance on these properties during his youth. As an adult Larry took to real estate as his chosen investment path. While working full time for different corporations, he worked on real estate as a side job or hobby. He started by buying a duplex.During the first fifteen years Larry bought, sold and managed his own portfolio including a twelve unit apartment complex, duplexes, four unit apartments and residential homes. After terrorists attacked on September 11, 2001, Larry was laid off from his corporate position and became a full time Realtor.It was then he had the freedom to really focus and assist clients to reach their goals rather than focusing on company profits. Since that time, Larry has seen the ups and downs of owner occupied, and the income real estate market. Larry currently works with Gentry Real Estate Group. He feels that Gentry Real Estate Group has wonderful visions of what a real estate company should be. He appreciates how they serve the agent's needs. Larry has a synergy based philosophy in which he builds lasting relationships with his clients. He loves to teach and educate buyers and sellers, on their road to success, to avoid the common mistakes made in real estate. Larry's passion has helped numerous people buy or sell their homes, and investment properties; assisting many clients in reaching their real estate goals.
