I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. I came back to my hometown, because this city is in need of dedicated defenders of constitutional principals and rights. I have that dedication and I have a passion for defending those accused of crimes. I did not realize my passion until my final year of law school when i participated in the St. Mary's Criminal Justice Clinic. I was dumbfounded by how damaging poor representation could be in today's modern, harsh criminal justice system. Penalties and stakes are high, while resources for representation are low. I've always been a defender of constitutional rights. St. Mary's Criminal Justice Clinic made me realized that criminal law was the place where I could have a direct impact on preserving those precious rights for everyone, especially those accused of crimes.
