Kris learned early in her childhood how tourism and real estate play key roles in our area's local economy. Originally from St. Louis MO, Kris moved with her family to Sarasota in 1959. Her parents soon bought a motel on Siesta Key, and her mother became a Realtor. "I was expected to do my share in making sure rooms were cleaned and guests were happy," she says. "And with my mother being a Realtor on the Key, I was privileged to learn that profession from one of the very best." In 1991, Kris joined her mother in real estate at Helene Anderson Realty on Siesta Key. In 1994, Helene sold the company to Century 21 Advantage, followed by Re/Max Alliance in 2007. Then in 2008 made the move to Michael Saunders Co. Looking to the future she joined Coldwell Banker Realty Siesta Key in 2023 bringing her back to her roots of growing up on Siesta Key. "Giving back to the community and the real estate industry has always been important to me," Kris notes. Indeed, her leadership abilities were noticed early on in her career and she was elected to a long line of offices, including President of the Women's Council of Realtors (2004), Director of the Florida Association of Realtors (2007), and the Secretary of the Sarasota Board of Realtors (2007). In addition service on many local, state and National Real Estate committees. Kris was a sought after Mentor for new agents and helped them become great agents and several times Rookie of the Year status. Her greatest satisfaction is having customers become life long friends.
