Who is Kevin McWhirter? Kevin started in the mortgage business in 1988, and survived the best and worst times of our industry. He has helped to build three mortgage companies from the ground up and sold his interest for a profit. Over the past 25 years, Kevin has trained many people in the field helping them to become good mortgage loan advisors. His vast knowledge includes Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, and Reverse Mortgages. Most of his career he has worked as a Mortgage Broker, however, in 2008 he switched gears, and spent five years working as a Mortgage Banker. Along the way, he also spent 10 years as a licensed financial advisor. This served as a great compliment to his mortgage practice and allowed him to look at his clients overall financial position and design a financial plan to meet the clients overall goals. Kevin is an expert on Reverse Mortgages and takes great pride in helping seniors maintain financial independence and success. He is driven to find the best solution for every client and will not give up until he has exhausted all possibilities. Kevin is dedicated and loves the mortgage industry. Kevin has been married to his wife Kim since 1993, and together they have raised three boys (Stephen, Michael, and Daniel). To spend time with his sons Kevin has been a soccer coach, band volunteer, Boy Scout leader, navigation expert for geocaching, and a member of the chain gain for football. He is a proud father of Eagle Scout Stephen. Kevin and his wife are surviving having their first son start college in 2013. When he is not spending time with his sons he tries to take his bride on romantic getaways. Kevin hobbies include singing with his church choir at retirement centers, golfing, boating, fishing, fantasy football, and just enjoying life to the fullest.
