I began my career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones in 2002 in Mankato, Minn., and became a limited partner in 2011. I have more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, including TCF Bank and US Bancorp Piper Jaffray. I attended Mankato State University, earning bachelor's degrees in accounting and finance. In addition, I received the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ professional designation in 2006. The College for Financial Planning® awards the AAMS™ designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education.As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it's important to invest time in understanding what goals my clients are working toward before investing money for them. Working closely with my clients' CPAs, attorneys and other professionals, I determine the most appropriate financial strategy and put together a personalized retirement savings strategy unique to each of my clients. I deeply value the personal relationships I develop using this solutions-based, tailored approach. Along with my branch office administrator, Heather, we are dedicated to providing the highest level of client service possible.I am an active member of the community. I became a Rotarian in 2003, am a past president and Foundation Team Leader of the Greater Mankato Rotary Club, past Rotary District 5960 District Governor, Paul Harris Fellow and Major Donor. I am a former board member of the Leave-A-Legacy organization and the Mankato Symphony Orchestra. I have been married to my wife, Jill, for 27 years. She and I, along with our two sons, continue to enjoy calling the Greater Mankato community our home.
