I joined Edward Jones in February 2010 due to the crash of the housing market in 2008-2009. I had worked and owned my own business in the home building industry. Like so many, I lost it all. That taught me so much. Edward Jones is a great fit not only because of my experience and love of people, but also because I know everyone has a story. I can relate to all people at different points of life. I love what I do because I get to help people.I am a Texas native. I grew up in Garland and went to college at Texas A&M where I started dating and married my wife, Kari. We moved from Garland to Austin in 1997 when we had only one son. Since then, we have added three more sons and two daughters, and a daughter-in-law. We enjoy traveling to small Texas towns to get a feel of the local community. While Kari tests the local coffee, I sample the ice cream and cookies. My hobbies are golfing, exercising and spending time with my family.I use an established system and partner with my clients to create a strategy for them to know what it takes to get from where they are to where they want to be when they want to be there. Whenever possible, I team up with my client's CPA and their estate attorney; we each play a part in assisting my client to understand what it takes to achieve their goals. I meet with each client at least once a year, but often more frequently according to their needs and preferences. This is important to ensure any changes in their lives do not throw them off the path toward achieving their goals. One of the most satisfying things about my job is seeing the excitement in a client's eyes when they know they can finally retire after so many hard-working years. I find great fulfillment when clients achieve their goals that they have dreamed about for so long. Hearing their adventures, whether big or small, brings joy to me and reaffirms that I am in the right career.Would you like help to achieve your goals?
