Growing up in the Boy Scouts, I learned to love the outdoors and everything it had to offer, whether it's watching my kid's sports activities, trying to "master" the game of golf or just simply playing in the dirt.I spent five years in the U.S. Navy Seabees after high school, learning to apply myself through construction. After returning to Wichita, Kansas, as a single dad, I worked in estimating/project management for some local construction companies. I was then given the opportunity to give back to the military through construction and spent four years in Iraq as a contractor.After spending a couple years in the automotive sales industry trying to figure out what my next and final chapter was going to be, I initiated a conversation with another Edward Jones financial advisor, and the rest is history.My wife, Shelly, and I have three children, all different in their own way. We love to travel whenever we are gifted a little downtime from other activities.I take a no-nonsense approach to investing by determining what is most important to you, building a personally tailored solution and then applying time-tested investing fundamentals.
